My girlfriend, Linny.
With three prelims coming up this week, I’m sure you can guess what i did today. thats right, between food breaks, occasional “OMG, MY BRAIN IS GONNA EXPLODE” BREAKS, and doing some well over do laundry, i spent my day in the company of my Linear Algebra book. somewhere between 3rd and 230958205th hour, I decided I was going to personify my book and name her Linny, and yes she is my girlfriend. Don’t worry, though, this isn’t going to become a lovey dovey, isn’t she lovely blog. In fact, I pretty much despise her. But, it’s ok the love-hate relationship will pay off in the end. Because after all these moments of self doubt, wanting to throw her down the garbage chute with my trash, and blood sweat and tears (sans blood and sweat) she will hopefully have helped me accomplish something I’m yet to accomplish. A good grade at Cornell! At which point, I wont profess my undenying love for her, but rather sell her off for a profit to the next unfortunate soul who get suckered into a loveless relationship with dear old, Linny. please don’t hurt me with any paper cuts…
In other news, since i did laundry today I obviously had to use the dryers as well. and let me tell you I am quite thankful to whoever invented the dryer. I’ve experienced this before, quite a few times actually, but it never ceases to amaze me. so after getting my laundry from the laundry room, I hopped in the shower. and after my shower, I grabbed a pair freshly washed undies and threw them on. after that other clothes went on too… but let me tell you the only way that feeling could have been any better is if i was an eskimo in the middle of an arctic tundra and that was my ONLY pair of boxers that just came outta the dryer. so yeah, in closing, that God for inspiring someone to invent electrical dryers. sorry for the mental images… :D

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]I was going to post something about how excited I am for the start of the 2010 baseball season, but in light of recent events hitting a 98 mph heater didn’t seem too important. You think after 19 years one would become, and I realize how heartless this sounds, jaded towards such things. But, no the abruptness of someone, no matter who it is, being there one day and gone the next still knocks me down. In Nic’s words, “it manages to put eternity in perspective.” (or something like that) It definitely reminds me how this world is much bigger than me. More importantly, though, it’s shown me, even more, that you’ve got to set your sights on God. He alone can give and take away, but that doesnt matter if you live for Him, through Him, and in Him. In the end he’ll take care of you forever. and THAT is the only promise of forever you’ll ever need (sorry, Forever Sharp Knives salesman).
so as thse of you who know me may know… actually not many people know this because i always feel like i get boring when i start talkin about baseball…. but I LOOOOOOOVE Mickey Mantle. that being said…. this is a bit extreme, even for me (it’s a tattoo on some dude’s arm). It might be my hatred for needles though…. Sorry Mick, your face isn’t going on any part of my body… That would be all sorts of painful. that and he kinda looks like a creepy frankenstein dude. anywho. thats enough for tonight
